Student Council
The Student Council is a student organization that provides opportunities for our students to actively participate in student government. Officers are elected by the students.
The Student Council conducts a variety of events and activities throughout the school year. With input from all students and staff, the Student Council sets a yearly agenda of activities that promote school spirit, charitable work, and positive recognition. Fundraisers are conducted to earn monies to pay for student activities and to support classroom learning.
Rockin' Science
This program introduces lessons based on NGSS (New Generation Science Standards). Rockin'Science offers project based studies in the field of engineering and technology and include science, math and art.
These Engineering project-based lessons enable the students to easily adjust to the new science standards and allow the students to express their interest and curiosity in solving real world design challenges. The lessons are hands on and the students lead the discussions and problem solving strategies. The intention is to get the students excited about the wonders of STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Math).
TreoBytes
Empowering future leaders. Kids learn, create and develop the next great app, website, logo or computer code through collaboration and teamwork. The club promotes creative problem solving and design concepts that allow kids to become more comfortable with technology. They develop and learn the basics of programming, social media and STEAM projects in a team environment.
The timing is right to start and keep computer science relevant and accessible to all kids. Computer and technology use are linked to increased student achievement thus, continuous learning is a critical component to closing the academic, social and economic gap.
